About the role:
Malander is seeking an immediately available Senior Financial Accountant to join a fast-paced finance team. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with solid experience across management accounts, payroll, and statutory compliance, who is comfortable taking ownership in a deadline-driven environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective management of day-to-day financial operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including analysis and commentary
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution
- Oversee VAT and tax submissions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
- Perform reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records
- Handle company secretarial duties, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Support audits and liaise with external stakeholders where required
- Contribute to process improvements and general finance operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role
- Strong experience in management accounts, payroll, and VAT/tax
- Exposure to company secretarial duties
- High attention to detail with strong reconciliation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance
- SAIPA membership is advantageous
- Immediate availability is non-negotiable
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
- Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
- Experience with ERP systems or financial management tools.
