Purpose Of The Job

Provide administrative support within the claims management process and liaise with relevant stakeholders within the process.

Overview

Supervision

Supervise team members and ensure delivery standards are adhered to

Supervise team members inputs into the system and spreadsheet and ensure accuracy is maintained all the time

Supervise claim payment loading

Turnaround times

Manage turnaround times of team as per process, no applications out of turnaround time

Inform manager of possible cases to be out of turnaround times within 24 hours of knowledge of

this (to allow putting a plan in place)

Fund Management

Notifications should be sent out to insurer on receipt within the stipulated turn-around time.

Liaise with company on insurer requirements and outstanding documentation.

Send Insurer Decision to payroll and payment documents

Monitor all correspondence from and sent to Insurers and clients (payroll funds)

Send review requests and review reminders to payroll and follow up on review requirements in

payment (PHI)

Communicate correspondence with regards to payment with the company

Effective communication with role players involved in the claims process.

Updating the monthly reports

Attend meetings with the assessor where and when necessary.

Ensure documents are saved on the shared system

Conduct Training with the assessor on the disability process.

Client Management

Manage day to day client related queries and escalate where necessary

Develop strong client relationships

Maintain zero client complaints

Receive and manage applications from clients

Ensure high client satisfaction levels from services received in terms of the claims management

Assist consultant in the performance of training and conduct presentations to subordinates to foster

client management skills

Attend client meetings

Ensuring all queries by clients are attended to timeously

Ensure all complaints are logged in complaints register

Manage ad hoc requests from client portfolio

Reporting

Ensure that timeous and accurate Admin reports are compiled and submitted internally.

Ensure consistent application of document management procedures i.e. documentation is stored in the appropriate storage system

Communication And Feedback

Communicate effectively with client, consultants , internal branches and colleagues

Report back to supervisor when necessary of pertinent issues

Requirements

Matric + diploma or degree

2 – 3 years, experience in disability admin

Good admin knowledge

Knowledge of the insurance industry

Knowledge of LRA

Extensive practical experience on Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
