Senior Digital Delivery Technician Modeller Jobs in Pretoria, South Africa at Pty
Section Manager or other professional consultant or any other person appointed to supervise him / her from time to time.
PRIMARY POSITION
PURPOSE
Provide and undertake complex design modelling tasks, prepare tender / construction documents, and provide technical support services to meet the requirements of the functional group and its clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Modelling and Detailing
Develop Autodesk templates / Libraries and tools to maintain standards
Programming within Autodesk (Visual Coding / Automation)
Quality audit on outgoing drawings
Standardisation of all drawings on project
Visualization of 3D models of projects for presentations
BIM implementation
Handling all Autodesk troubleshooting and setting up of interfaces in respective department
Participating in office technical discussions and project delivery meetings
Mentor, train, and provide technical support to junior staff
Conducting conceptual and detailed design and modelling to prepare technical drawings and documentation
Provide practical and economical solutions to project deliverables
Applying a deeper understanding of modelling principles to devise and deliver practical solutions
Maintain a high level of modelling expertise and engineering knowledge
Undertake supervisor roles and lead projects
Contribute to the overall management and profitability of the functional group
Ensure drawings and documentation are of the highest quality
Maintain client satisfaction
Strictly adhere to SMEC’s Management System (MS) quality standards and OHS procedures
Introduce Graduate Engineers to in-house standards and practical construction techniques
Assist Project Managers with site queries and reporting solutions
Work independently and be self-motivated to produce accurate models/drawings within deadlines

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
Professional registration in drawing/modeling (Autodesk certification preferred)
Minimum of 5 years in a similar position
Experience in relevant projects
Proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Relux/Dialux, or discipline-specific software
