Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep analysis of data patterns to identify actionable insights supporting informed business decisions.
- Design, enhance, and maintain data infrastructure including data warehousing, reporting, and analytics solutions.
- Develop, validate, and improve statistical and analytical models to support risk identification and cost management.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into data‑driven solutions.
- Create intuitive dashboards and reports that clearly communicate complex insights.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through testing, validation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Support governance, compliance, audit, and risk initiatives through robust analytics and reporting.
- Guide and mentor junior data analysts, ensuring high standards of delivery and growth.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Analytics, Applied Mathematics, or Business Analytics
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or a related field
Experience
- Senior‑level experience in Data Analysis / Data Science
- Experience within Medical Aid / Healthcare funding is advantageous
- Banking or Financial Services experience will be considered
- Experience working in a regulated environment
Technical Skills & Certifications
- Advanced SQL Programming certification
- Python certification
- BI / Analytics certification (Power BI, QlikView, Cognos, Tableau)
