The Role

This is a revenue role disguised as Customer Success. You will own a portfolio of high-value clients

and be directly responsible for retention, expansion revenue, and client outcomes.

You are expected to operate like a business partner, not a task executor. You control outcomes, not

just communication.

Core Responsibilities

1 Own 50–70 high-value client accounts end-to-end

2 Lead onboarding, strategy calls, and performance reviews

3 Proactively identify and eliminate churn risk

4 Drive expansion revenue through value-based conversations

5 Maintain fast, clear, and confident communication

6 Act as the bridge between client and internal teams

7 Track all activity and outcomes in CRM with precision

Leadership & Influence

1 Mentor and elevate other CSMs

2 Share best practices and improve team performance

3 Contribute to scalable systems and playbooks

4 Call out inefficiencies and help fix them

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

1 Strong trust and engagement across your client portfolio

2 Churn is reduced without escalation

3 Consistent expansion revenue generated

4 You handle difficult conversations confidently

5 You become a go-to resource for the team

What We’re Looking For

1 3+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or similar

2 Experience working with US-based clients

3 Strong written and spoken English communication

4 Ability to manage high volume without sacrificing quality

5 Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability

6 Comfortable discussing ROI, performance, and revenue

Senior-Level Expectations

1 Demonstrated impact on retention or revenue

2 Experience mentoring or leading peers

3 Ability to operate autonomously

4 Strong business acumen and ownership mindset

Bonus Experience

1 SaaS or subscription-based business experience

2 Familiarity with Google Business Profiles or local SEO

3 Experience reducing churn or driving upsells

Compensation (South Africa)

Base: $2,000 – $3,000 USD/month

Performance Bonus: $1,000 – $3,000+ USD/month based on retention, expansion, and churn reduction
