POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Business Analyst will be instrumental in translating customer insights and strategic business goals into clear, actionable requirements and product solutions. A key aspect of the role involves conducting comprehensive gap analyses of core business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and working closely with stakeholders to define and implement practical business improvements.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:

Lead business analysis activities across strategic and operational projects.

Conduct detailed gap analyses on core business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Act as product owner where required, managing backlogs and translating business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.

Conduct customer research sessions and use design thinking principles to derive insights from user needs.

Present high-level findings, solutions, and strategic recommendations to management and executive stakeholders.

Supervise project progress, ensuring milestones are achieved, risks are managed, and projects deliver the desired value.

Validate that the final deliverable not only aligns with business requirements but also fits the long-term strategic direction;

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, IT, Operations, and Clinical) to develop and refine/streamline business requirements.

Utilise tools and frameworks to document processes, workflows, and system requirements.

Engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of business solutions with strategic objectives.

Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Drive the adoption of innovative tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and deliver strategic business advantages.

Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Ensuring compliance with data security, industry regulations, and company policies.

Mentoring and guiding junior business analysts and other team members.

Qualifications and experience required

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, B.Com Information Systems, or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

Minimum of 8 years’ working experience as a Business Analyst and/or Product Owner.

Demonstrated experience conducting gap analyses and process reviews.

Experience conducting customer research and requirements gathering.

Familiarity with business analysis and design tools.

Proven ability to translate customer insights into actionable product and process improvements.

Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

High attention to detail and a structured approach to work.

Advantageous:

Design Thinking training or certification.

Consulting experience with a top-tier management consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Deloitte, Accenture).

Experience in healthcare or payer-provider environments.
