Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bookkeeping, excellent analytical skills, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, reviewing and assisting the team
Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
Payroll – understanding of monthly salaries
Monthly reconciliation of VAT and PAY
Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Provide support during audits and tax preparation.
Supervise junior bookkeeping staff and provide training as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred ).
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, in a senior capacity.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage 300 and Microsoft Office Suite).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
