We are looking to hire a skilled accounting professional to join our team on-site in Vanderbijlpark who excels in a leadership role and brings strong financial expertise to the table.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Honours is a plus)
• Minimum of 5 years’ progressive accounting experience
• At least 2 years in a senior role or with team management responsibility
• Experience managing a small team
• Working knowledge of financial consolidations
• Strong background in Accounting and Financial Management

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage general ledger entries and ensure accurate transaction recording
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
Perform bank reconciliations and review account balances
Monitor accounting data to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
Assist with internal and external audits, including audit schedules and documentation
Support budgeting and forecasting through financial analysis and insights
Maintain fixed asset registers and manage depreciation schedules
Supervise junior accounting staff and provide ongoing guidance
Prepare tax submissions and liaise with tax consultants or authorities
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy
Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and expense reports
Liaise with banks, auditors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Manage intercompany transactions and perform reconciliations as needed
Provide financial reports and insights to support management decision-making
Monitor cash flow and assist with treasury-related functions
Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and best practices
Perform group consolidations, preferably with multi-currency experience
Qualifications
5+ years’ of professional accounting experience
2+ years in a senior role or managing a team
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Bcom Financial Management – honours preferred
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng.
