Overview
We are seeking highly skilled Security Officers at Level 3 to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and assets. ***Must have TOPS License (Pocket Card)***. These roles require individuals with a strong background in security operations, conflict management, and emergency response. The ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent observational skills, integrity, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Conduct surveillance using CCTV systems and other security technology to identify potential threats
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate action including first aid or CPR when necessary
- Enforce company policies and security protocols while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies
- Manage conflict situations effectively through conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions
- Assist with loss prevention strategies to minimize inventory shrinkage
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify safety hazards or security breaches
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in surveillance or CCTV operation are advantageous
- Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems (CCTV)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various shifts including nights and weekends if required
- Must pass background checks and any necessary licensing requirements for security personnel
