Seamstress/Sewing Technician Jobs in Akron, OH at Miller’s Rental and Sales

This is a full-time position Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. in our Adaptive Technologies department located in Akron, OH.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sewing: Sewing of commercial goods. Maintain and monitor stock levels and projects as assigned.
Fabrication: Layout, preparation and fabrication of stock and custom items to meet the commercial account needs.
Equipment Management: Maintain and monitor stock levels of hardware and materials that relate to job specific functions and needs.
Order Support: Completion of assembly work for customer’s equipment, both standard and custom specifications.
Housekeeping: Maintains areas assigned in a clean and orderly fashion.
Shipping: Back-up shipping for Adaptive Technologies.
Company Policies: Is knowledgeable regarding company policy on accepting assignments, documentation requirements, pattern requirements, inventory procedures, and packaging and shipping requirements.
Company: Perform other duties as assigned to include assisting other Divisions and Managers in special projects and assignments, as well as attending special events, team meetings, educational seminars and community relation events.

Qualifications:

Basic sewing experience required (advanced sewing experience preferred)
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent
Good communication skills with capacity to make independent decisions, when appropriate
