A global technology and analytics organisation is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support high-performing software engineering teams. This role is focused on enabling Agile delivery, improving team effectiveness, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across one or more cross-functional product development squads.
About the Role
As a Scrum Master, you will serve as a servant leader and Agile coach, helping engineering teams adopt and optimise Agile practices while ensuring predictable, sustainable delivery. Working closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Program stakeholders, you will facilitate effective collaboration, manage delivery risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching teams, removing delivery obstacles, and creating environments where teams can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation & Coaching
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile software development teams
- Facilitate Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban ceremonies, including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-Ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Backlog Refinement Sessions
- Coach teams on Agile principles, best practices, and self-organisation
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Delivery Management
- Support predictable and sustainable delivery through effective planning and governance
- Help teams establish realistic commitments and delivery goals
- Provide transparency around progress, risks, dependencies, and impediments
- Monitor team capacity and workload to support healthy delivery practices
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse team performance metrics and delivery data
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities
- Facilitate outcome-focused retrospectives and ensure action items are implemented
- Promote experimentation and continuous learning within teams
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate work across teams where dependencies exist
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and Program stakeholders to align priorities
- Support planning activities by providing accurate capacity, delivery, and risk information
- Build strong relationships across product, engineering, and operational functions
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate delivery status, risks, and progress clearly to stakeholders
- Adapt communication styles for technical teams, leadership, and business audiences
- Support decision-making through data-driven insights and reporting
Required Experience
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Delivery Lead within software engineering environments
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching development teams
- Ability to identify and resolve team impediments and delivery challenges
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience using Agile delivery metrics and performance data to drive improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting multiple Agile teams simultaneously
- Familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Aha!, Jira, or similar platforms
- Background in software development, quality assurance, or a technical discipline
- Experience working within modern product-led organisations
- Knowledge of Agile scaling and portfolio delivery practices
