Satellite Engineering Expert Jobs in Home Based at BCom
Scope
You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of communications systems engineering tasks on advanced satellite communications networks and supported communications services. As a CoE Satellite Engineer, the candidate will play a vital role in the development, maintenance, and management of cutting-edge satellite communication systems. This may include responsibilities such as designing, testing, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing technical support and guidance to other team members.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced monitoring and management of ground satellite network: You will be responsible for monitoring the performance and health of the ground satellite network. This includes analyzing network traffic, identifying potential issues and proactively addressing them to minimize downtime.
Configuration management of SATCOM Systems: As a CoE Satellite Engineer, you must have extensive experience working with different satellite hub platforms and a strong understanding of the RF environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper configuration of the SATCOM system to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot RF or platform issues: You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving any RF or platform issues that arise in the SATCOM system. You will work with other engineers (CoE & L2) to diagnose the root cause of the problem and develop solutions to resolve it.
Escalation management: As a CoE team, you will be the final level of technical escalation for issues that could not be resolved by L2 or L1 support. This will also involve consulting with vendors and manufacturers to seek high-level support and implementing advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
Establish and validate requirements for satellites networks based on end user needs: You will work closely with end-users to identify their requirements for satellite networks and develop solutions to meet those needs. You will then validate these requirements and ensure that they are met by the SATCOM system.
Duties will include documentation of interventions, troubleshooting, Network KPI’s: You will be responsible for documenting all interventions and troubleshooting activities. You will also be responsible for tracking network KPIs and making recommendations for improvements.
Support L1 & L2 teams: You will work closely with L1 & L2 teams to provide technical support and guidance. You will also assist in the development of training programs for L1 & L2 engineers to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills needed to perform their job effectively.
Liaise with the upper management and support staff to enable them to provide effective and informed reporting: You will work closely with the project director support staff to develop accurate and effective reporting. You will also assist in producing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for each customer as per the deliverable’s requirements.
