Introduction
The mainpurposeof the Grindrod SAP Manager is to oversee the administration and management of Grindrod’s SAP software systems (SAP S/4 and SAP BW) and ensure that the SAP systems align with the business requirements and operate smoothly.
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:
Implementation and Upgrade Management:
Overseeing the implementation and upgrade of SAP systems to ensure they meet business requirements.
Planning and executing SAP system rollouts.
Configuration and Customization:
Configuring and customizing SAP systems to align with the company’s needs.
Ensuring the system is optimized for performance and functionality.
Team Leadership
:
Managing a team of SAP consultants and developers.
Providingleadershipand guidance to project teams.
Project Management
:
Developing and maintaining project plans and schedules.
Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
Managing project budgets and resources.
User Support and Training:
Training end users on how to use SAP systems effectively.
Providing support to end users for any SAP system issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
Writing and maintaining SAP system documentation.
Regularly communicating project status to stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitoring the performance of SAP systems to ensure they operate smoothly.
Implementing necessary updates and patches.
Policy Development:
Developing and maintaining SAP standards and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM JOB:
IT Degree or equivalent
Relevant SAP qualification
MINIMUM PERIOD OF EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in SAP ERP and HR systems withproven track recordin implementing new business systems andprocess optimization.
