Key Accountabilities/Outcome
- To ensure adherence to all cleaning procedures as stipulated in the Master Cleaning Schedule and as deemed necessary by management.
- To ensure that all cleaning equipment is maintained in a clean and working condition.
- To be responsible for compliance and service development to the facility through regular meetings/discussions with Management of cleaning activities.
- Responsible for Pest Control Management to ensure a pest free environment. To be the key liaison with pest control service provider.
- Responsible for Waste Management to ensure waste removal is conducted.
- To provide support to Associates in the cleaning team. To suggest staffing levels and to control this team in order to deliver a high-quality cleaning service to the business.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to staff as appropriate.
- Manage all resources to assist management achieve its objectives within the agreed budget.
- Liaison with Management in order to find solutions to operational difficulties.
- Involvement in supplier audits specifically related to Food Safety and Sanitation requirements.
- Recruit new staff members. Ensure induction and skills training is delivered and probation monitored.
- Inspect premises to ensure that cleaning standards specified in the Master Cleaning Schedule are maintained or improved.
- Develop and keep Master Cleaning Schedule updated and ensure that all procedures are followed.
- Investigate and identify reasons for poor standards and take action to prevent re-occurrence.
- Re-allocate and restructure work areas of staff, as appropriate to ensure the equitable allocation of work and the effective use of the workforce.
- Monitor cleaning stock levels and ensure that adequate supplies are maintained at all times.
- Ensure that the monthly cleaning expenses (labour and material) are in accordance with the AOP.
- Review new and replacement equipment requirement, visually checking cables and plugs on equipment, promptly reporting any equipment that may require repair or replacement.
- Understand and maintain Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals utilized in the facility.
- Keep abreast with technological advancements in the cleaning industry.
- Any other duties deemed appropriate to the grade and nature of job.
- To maintain the uniform store, to suggest orders to be placed for new uniforms and to issue such uniforms in a controlled manner to Associates.
- To control the laundry in its entirety.
Qualification/Skills/Experience
- Relevant Diploma
- Cleaning supervisor experience.
- Knowledge of HACCP and ISO.
- Pest Control Experience.
