About the Role: But Not Limited To
. The Sales Representative is primarily responsible for helping build a new market by generating sales for our product. This role will also be responsible for maintaining existing buyer and supplier accounts while also supporting sales and partners across our product list.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales in a start-up environment, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities:
– Generate new sales
– Develop and maintain relationships with customers
– Conduct sales presentations and close deals
– Negotiate contracts, and determine pricing and terms of sale
– Track and report on sales performance
– Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends
This position requires:
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to jump into any task to help the company succeed
Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales goals
– 5 years plus sales experience within the FMCG industry in South Africa, preferably having a network of existing customers such as Cash & Carry, wholesalers, supermarkets, hypermarkets, ship chandlers, and shipping companies.
– Ability to think horizontally across many customers and their needs and strategically connect those needs.
– Strong interpersonal skills
– Comfortable communicating with senior management and business leaders in a clear and effective manner
– Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and high-growth start-up environment
– Proactivity.
– Acts without being told what to do.
– Brings new ideas to the company
– Must have a valid S.A Driver’s License and own vehicle
– 5+ years of experience in sales within the FMCG/food & beverage industry
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
– Have existing network of clients.
Ideal if you have some combination of:
– Brand or retail experience
– Sales or customer success experience
– Experience at a start-up.
– FMCG Dry & Frozen experience
– Wholesale & Distribution environment experience
– Ability to scale swiftly within a startup environment.
– Network of existing customer accounts, i.e.: Cash & Carry’s Wholesalers, hypermarkets, supermarkets & retail chains
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R12Â 000,00 – R15Â 000,00 per month
