Job Overview
As a Sales Representative, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and growing our market presence in the region. This role involves both field and office-based work, and may occasionally require early starts, extended hours, or weekend availability depending on client needs and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in rigging, transport, and heavy lifting sectors.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and site visits.
Prepare and submit quotations, follow up on proposals, and negotiate pricing.
Coordinate closely with operations, planning, and safety teams to ensure accurate and realistic commitments.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s services, equipment capabilities, and safety standards.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue growth.
Attend industry networking events and represent the company professionally at all times.
Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and pipeline using CRM tools.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of external sales experience, ideally in rigging, transport, engineering, or industrial services.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with Johannesburg industrial and construction sectors is advantageous.
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle (essential).
Work Schedule
Standard business hours apply, however flexibility is required for early morning meetings, site visits, and occasional weekend or after-hours work.
This role includes fieldwork, and travel within the Johannesburg/Gauteng region.
