SUMMARY:

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Paarl: My client, an established chemical manufacturing and distribution company, supplying high-quality industrial and cleaning chemical solutions to a wide range of industries including hospitality, automotive, engineering, construction, veterinary, laundry, food and beverage, is seeking to employ a dynamic and target-driven Sales Representative to join their team.

The successful candidate will reside in Paarl and have a proven external sales track record, together with the ability to develop strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Role

To grow sales by servicing existing customers, securing new business, promoting the company’s chemical product range, and achieving monthly sales targets through effective customer engagement and disciplined sales execution.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Developing and managing a portfolio of new and existing customers
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities within target industries
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
  • Demonstrating product lines and solutions to clients
  • Maintaining up-to-date product and industry knowledge
  • Providing regular market and competitor feedback
  • Assisting with marketing initiatives and promotional activities
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence

Criteria

  • Must reside in Paarl
  • Minimum 3 years’ external / outbound sales experience
  • Experience within the chemical, industrial or related sectors advantageous
  • Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence essential
  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills
  • Strong objection handling and persuasion skills
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Self-motivated, disciplined and able to work independently
  • Strong administrative and computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Professional, target-driven and well organised
  • Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (read, write and speak)
