Job Purpose Summary:

As the Sales Manager for your assigned Business Unit, you manage and are responsible for the sales team, including Internal Sales, Business Development Managers and Account Managers. You will work with your BU executive to design and implement sales strategies to increase Nology’s customer base, grow revenue and increase the overall profitability of the BU.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure target revenue and gross profit achievement in line with Nology’s forecast and budget.
Manage allocation of customer accounts among sales resources.
Develop high level relationships with key customers.
Manage assigned “house account” customers, ensuring retention.
Implement strategies to increase customer retention.
Ensure adequate levels of training and certification are maintained within the sales team to provide accurate product and solution advice to customers.
Provide commission calculations and reports.
Analyse customer report packs and form strategies to maximize Nology’s revenues.
Have a clear understanding of your market, competitors and opportunities.
Mentor, support and upskill sales team members.
Attend meetings alongside team members to ensure they are representing Nology appropriately.
Supervise and support sales administrator(s) and accounts manager(s) to ensure customer satisfaction, stability, and growth.
Set sales targets and KPIs.
Research new business opportunities within your applicable BU and industries.
Work with vendors to develop and implement sales plans and strategies relevant to their brands.
Manage first level customer discounting.
Develop new business opportunities.
Manage your team with regards to all Human Resource related requirements.
Monitor internal sales resources and workload to ensure response times and quality.
Collaborate with your contemporaries in other Business Units to identify customer opportunities and manage allocation of shared accounts.
Provide reports as needed by your BU Executive.

HR Related duties & responsibilities

Leave planning to ensure BU is always operational.
Provide training on internal systems and reporting to your team.
Leave approvals according to the approved company leave policy.
Conduct of Performance reviews and actions resulting from it, including training needs.
Ensure all job descriptions are updated and kept updated.
Conduct KPI reviews quarterly with team members.
Complete and submit all training record sheets.
Ensure a positive and constructive culture in the BU that will have a positive impact on the team and customers.
Handle all HR related issues with utmost confidentiality, while following procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Internal training: During the first week of your employment, you’ll be presented with training plan designed to guide you through your on-the-job training experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Load activities on CRM.
Compile and present sales reports to management.
Load and manage sales opportunities.
Compile and present QBRs.
Follow up on quotes.
Follow up on operations responses.

Requirements:

Internal training: During the first week of your employment, you’ll be presented with training plan designed to guide you through your on-the-job training experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Matric/ Grade 12
Sales related degree or diploma will be advantageous.

Additional Skills:

Excel intermediate
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail with numbers.
Attention to detail very important.

Required knowledge and experience required:

Knowledge of relevant brand products and processes.
Knowledge of the customer structure to have the correct point of contact.
Knowledge of the information management industry in South Africa.
Experience in the IT distribution channel.
Sales experience an advantage

Office requirements:

Working hours 8h00 to 17h00, Monday to Friday.
Semi-formal dress code.
Reliable transport to and from the office
Excellent language skills (English), both written and verbal

Notes:

This is a permanent position, subject to a three-month probation period.
