Job Summary:

Emerson is seeking the services of a highly experienced Sales Manager for our Isolation valves business unit, in South Africa. The Sales Manager is responsible for systematically developing, supporting, and implementing growth strategies to achieve or exceed booking targets in the Southeast Africa (SEA) region for non-mining sectors. This role involves identifying and capitalizing on opportunities ranging from project business and targeted competitive displacement to specific industry applications and defined market segments.

Successful execution of this role requires effective engagement with customers, the local sales team, and representative organizations.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Lead ISV Business Unit for solutions, products and MRO business development and sales initiatives.

Meet or exceed territory financial objectives (budget, POR(Forecast), etc.) as required in support of the ISV MEA business plan.

Direct, develop, collaborate with and support sales team and representatives in the region.

Manage local channel partners of the region for growth of ISV business.

Develop and implement sales and account management strategies for the region that deliver above market growth rates.

Develop and implement plans to drive and grow MRO business and increase revenue and profit from the existing installed base.

Prepare and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, competitor intelligence and country marketing plans.

Work closely with other Final Control and Emerson Automation Solutions Business Units and improve pull-through content.

Take a pro-active role in defining strategies for winning Entity projects as well as supporting Destination project pursuit activities to achieve order conversion and grow the installed base for Isolation Valves Business Unit.

Develop long-term relationships withsenior managementwithin customer accounts to gain preference for Isolation Valves and Final Control.

Lead Site Plan competency development and ensure that robust plans are developed to enhance MRO potential at critical sites.

Improvecustomer satisfactionby finding solutions to their needs & challenges.

Keep up to date with developments in products, industries and market trends.

Manage a pool of sales opportunities within the company CRM system and ensure that opportunities are updated with the latest customer status.

Ensure Emerson Ethics and trade compliance procedures are strictly followed with all business transactions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Educated to degree level in an engineering university. Chemical or mechanical engineering preferred.

A minimum of 10 years sales experience in the valve industry with a minimum of 3 years in a salesleadershipposition.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Achievement of an MBA qualification will be considered advantageous but not necessary.

Track record of achievingsales targetsand growing territory above market growth.

Ability to consistently deliver profitable sales growth and to sell value instead of price.

Application experience in Mining.

Relevant sales and management/leadershipexperience and the effective use of CRM.
