🌍 About the Role

Sunbromate (Pty) Ltd is a growing importer and distributor of tiles, ceramics, and float glass, serving wholesale, retail, and project-based customers across South Africa and neighbouring markets.

We are seeking a Sales Manager to manage sales team, monitor target completion rate, and deal with complex internal cross department communication and external customer challenges. This role requires strong communication skill and open mind thinking. Most importantly the ability to indentify the essence behind the problem and take action to sort it.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Sales Team Leadership

Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives to meet and exceed targets.

Conduct regular performance reviews, ride-along field visits, and coaching sessions.

Address underperformance decisively through training, corrective action, or restructuring where required.

Sales Performance & Targets

Set clear monthly and quarterly sales targets aligned with company objectives.

Track KPIs such as revenue, margins, conversion rates, customer retention, and activity levels. Ensure consistent follow-ups, pipeline management, and deal closures.

Market & Customer Management

Support key accounts and assist sales reps in closing strategic or high-value deals.

Monitor customer feedback, market trends, and competitor activity within South Africa.

Ensure professional handling of customer issues, complaints, and after-sales service.

Strategy & Reporting

Assist management in developing and executing sales strategies, especially for float glass expansion.

Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and team performance summaries.

Able to report with PPT and Excel, with supportive and reliable data.

Operational Coordination

Work closely with logistics, finance, and operations to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.

Ensure pricing discipline, discount control, and compliance with company policies.

🧩 Minimum Requirements

Essential

Bachelor Degree

Preferred 4–8 years experience in sales management, in the Glass Industry.

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Experience in B2B sales, having good relationship with well-known glass customer.

Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally.
