Job Purpose
As Sales Manager, you will lead the sales team in driving learner enrollments and building partnerships with employers, workforce agencies, and community organizations. You’ll be responsible for developing scalable sales strategies, coaching high-performing sales reps, and ensuring consistent revenue growth aligned with our mission of creating a more inclusive green workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to meet enrollment and revenue targets
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of sales executives (including those from call centre/agency-style backgrounds)
Monitor performance metrics and optimize team performance through coaching and data-driven decision-making
Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships in the green economy space
Oversee CRM management and pipeline forecasting
Collaborate with Marketing and Program teams to align messaging and customer engagement
Build and manage key accounts, including employers and public-sector partners seeking upskilling solutions
Represent DLO at events, partner meetings, and industry forums when needed
Required Skills & Experience
3–5+ years of sales experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or management role
Background in call centre, EdTech, or high-volume lead conversion environments
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding team-based sales targets
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics tools
Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
Familiarity with education, workforce development, or sustainability sectors
Preferred
Experience working in a fast-growing startup or social enterprise
Understanding of green economy workforce needs or ESG-aligned training sectors
Experience managing B2B or institutional accounts in addition to individual learners
Sales certification or relevant training (e.g., Sandler, Challenger, SPIN)
