Purpose of the Role

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor, coach, and develop team members to achieve individual and team success.

• Adapt leadership style to suit individual strengths and development areas.

• Prioritise team growth and performance above personal sales targets.

• Create a proactive, solution-focused, and supportive team culture.

• Identify and develop future leaders within the team.

• Encourage innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Decision-Making & Team Engagement

• Encourage open communication and team collaboration.

• Involve team members in decision-making where appropriate.

• Create a clear vision and direction aligned with business objectives.

• Maintain transparency through accurate reporting, budgeting, and planning.

Sales & Commercial Leadership

• Drive new business development and commercial growth.

• Oversee CRM management and adherence to the sales process.

• Monitor team sales activity, margin growth, and client relationship management.

• Gradually reduce personal portfolio responsibilities to focus on leadership and strategy.

• Identify and recruit high-performing sales talent.

Operational Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly team catch-ups and submit board reports

• Attend weekly leadership meetings and ensure daily operational follow-through.

• Monitor team productivity, meeting quality, and client engagement standards.

• Ensure supplier meetings are conducted regularly by team members.

• Oversee collaboration and handovers between Sales and Operations teams.

• Manage leave planning proactively to maintain operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with company best practices, procedures, and service standards.

• Monitor client credit facilities and follow up on outstanding matters.
