Key Responsibilities
Drive sales of diesel generator sets across Gauteng and broader regions.
Identify and develop new business opportunities with distributors, large-scale customers, and project contractors.
Maintain and expand existing customer relationships, ensuring repeat business and long-term growth.
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, tenders, and presentations tailored to client needs.
Achieve or exceed annual sales targets (minimum $2 million USD).
Provide accurate sales forecasting, market analysis, and customer reporting.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective after-sales support.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in diesel generator set sales or related heavy machinery/industrial equipment.
Proven track record of annual sales exceeding $2 million USD.
Existing network of distributors, resellers, and key accounts in the construction, mining, or industrial sectors.
Strong understanding of the Gauteng market and local customer base.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
Preferred
Experience working with international power generation brands.
Technical background or knowledge of diesel engine systems and generator configurations.
Remuneration
Negotiable Depending on experience
