Our client, a medical supplier, requires a Sales Consultant for their Capital Equipment division.

To champion and drive forward the growth of the business within the designated territory by developing relationships with key influencers.

Responsibilities include:

Providing specialist capital and clinical support to key customers/clinicians to deliver the best possible solutions for patient care.

Promoting the complete range of products.

Designing and implementing action plans to positively affect revenue growth and profitability.

Meeting sales targets, establishing opportunities, and developing strategies to maximize opportunities.

Providing daily clinical support to customers through clinical selling, education, evaluations, and follow-up visits.

Delivering key educational programs and tools.

Assisting regulatory and marketing with the implementation of needed action items.

Executing clinical support activities to effect growth and maintain the safe and effective use of products.

Preparing, executing, and delivering customer training, workshops, demonstrations, and assessments as required.

Providing feedback and support for any clinical trials conducted by customers.

Reporting and delivering service on non-conformance, adverse events, and near misses as required.

Frequent travel in Free State, Northern Cape, and Lesotho.

Executing and supporting product and specific sales and marketing strategies and tactics.

Developing and implementing the sales plan for the territory.

Building and executing effective business plans to ensure achievement and exceed set targets.

Delivering sales results in accordance with targets set.

Assisting in providing necessary clinical guidance and direction, making recommendations as appropriate to ensure proper utilization of products.

Supporting promotional activities as directed by the Marketing Manager.

Responding to and completing customer emergencies as required.

Being responsible for the timely completion of administrative tasks and projects.

Qualifications:

Grade 12

Tertiary qualification in Clinical/Medical/Healthcare or similar

Preferred formal Sales Training CRICE – Excluding sterile field

Minimum 2 years sales experience with either medical/capital equipment or medical devices

Requirements, Skills, and Attributes:

Proven sales experience in Medical Sales.

Sales and territory planning and management, product selling, relationship building.

Existing client base of customers in the medical capital environment.

Prior experience working with procurement in Private & Public Hospitals.

Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a highly demanding environment.

Excellent data interpretation to drive desired results.

Positive relationship building, persuasion, and influence.

Team player, self-motivated, target-driven, able to work under pressure.

Highly energetic with a focused drive for success.

Own reliable transport and valid EB driver’s license.
