Position: Sales engineer (PUMPS)
Role Overview : We are seeking a Sales Engineer to manage a portfolio of clients, build long-term relationships, and support sales targets. The role requires deep technical knowledge of our products and effective client engagement to drive satisfaction and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Management :
Develop and sustain strong client relationships through regular communication.
Sales Execution :
Understand client needs, implement sales plans, and suggest appropriate products / services to meet those needs.
Technical Expertise :
Acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of our products to address client requirements and enhance the sales process.
After-Sales Support :
Offer post-sale support to retain clients and resolve any issues or queries.
Reporting :
Provide regular updates on account status and progress toward targets.
Collaboration :
Work with the Regional / Area Manager to create tailored sales strategies for key clients.
Product Promotion :
Introduce and promote new products / services to existing clients.
Site Activities :
Commission pumps, conduct site visits, monitor pump reliability, and open new sites / clients as needed.
Client Insights :
Gather and use client information to refine sales strategies and improve service.
Requirements :
Education :
Matric and a
B.Eng in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
Experience :
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role with experience in pump technology.
