This role, based in Middelburg, is ideal for professionals with a robust background in the Mining, Power, Oil & Gas industries and a passion for building lasting client relationships.
About the Role Reporting directly to the Vice President, Service Sales Africa, you will:
Drive Sales:
Secure orders for engineered industrial products and services through a relationship-based approach, engaging decision-makers in the raw material, steel, power, oil & gas sectors. Market Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand key business drivers, competitor activities, and market potential in the mining & metals industry. Client Engagement:
Perform product application audits at customer facilities, ensure CRM data accuracy, and deliver high-quality client call reports. Financial Targets:
Meet and exceed
sales targets
, ensuring actual sales align with projected figures and promoting repeat business and market share growth. Key Qualifications & Experience
Education:
National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or a related field). Industry
Experience:
3 – 5 years in the Mining and Power, Oil & Gas industry, with proven experience in selling, negotiating, and closing commercial service agreements/contracts. Business Acumen:
Strong understanding of market drivers, competitor activities, SWOT analysis, and excellent sales & negotiation skills. Technical Insight:
Familiarity with industry-specific terminology and drive lines (motors, couplings, gearboxes), complemented by proficiency in Microsoft Office. Personal Attributes:
