Sales Coordinator.

The candidate’s

primarily duties

will include

support

to the

sales and marketing department

, managing

client interactions

throughout the

booking

process, answering

inquiries

about the hotel’s facilities and rates,

sending proposals

and ensuring smooth

execution of events

, all while aiming to

optimize revenue

and

bookings

, maintaining

organized sales records

, communicating effectively with

potential clients

, and

collaborating

with the sales manager to research competition.

Duties:

Client communication:

Respond to inquiries from potential clients regarding room types, availability, pricing, packages, and event options.

Proposal generation:

Create customized proposals outlining details of the client’s desired event, including pricing and room blocks.

Sales tracking:

Maintain accurate records of sales leads, bookings, and follow-ups in the hotel’s property management system.

Contract management:

Assist in drafting and finalizing contracts with clients, ensuring all terms are clearly defined.

Event coordination:

Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics for events, including catering, room setups, and audiovisual needs.

Customer relationship management:

Build and maintain relationships with clients, including follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Market research:

Stay informed about competitor pricing and offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

Sales reporting:

Generate regular sales reports analysing booking trends, revenue performance, and key metrics.

Administrative tasks:

Manage sales-related paperwork, update client information, and handle data entry.

Requirements:

Grade 12

A formal qualification

Experience in an administrative role in a large hospitality operation / hotel

Excellent communication skills:

Ability to clearly articulate information to clients both verbally and in writing

Strong organizational skills:

Efficiently manage multiple sales leads, bookings, and deadlines

Customer service focus:

Prioritize

client satisfaction

throughout the booking process

Sales acumen:

Understand

sales techniques

and strategies to close deals effectively

Proficiency in sales software:

Familiarity with hotel property management systems and CRM platforms

Attention to detail:

Ensure accuracy in all sales documents and

communication
