Job
Purpose
Inbound or outbound policy sales, based on leads and campaigns. Initiate customer relationships and meet various KPIs. Connect with customers, conduct needs analysis, and propose solutions. Requires solid knowledge of products, their characteristics, and the market, with a focus on brand growth.
Responsibilities
Customer Relationships Development
Make calls to allocated customers to develop new relationships or serve as the first point of contact.
Customer Needs Clarification
Interview customers following a complex multi-level sales script to clarify requirements or assist in conducting interviews with potential customers, making detailed notes.
Set Clear Objectives & Make Presentations
Set objectives for each call, use standard materials to present to customers, ask relevant questions to evaluate interest, and identify areas needing further information.
Sell Customer Propositions
Identify products/services that meet customer needs, explain selections, and invite purchases under standard terms. Use expertise to propose quantities within policies and influence customer decisions to meet needs.
Operational Compliance
Develop knowledge of organisational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, adhering to mandatory standards.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data
Schedule callbacks and enter relevant information into CRM after each contact to create call plans and ensure data quality for retention and business development.
Performance Management
Prioritise workflow, ensure standards of productivity, quality, and timeliness, and use performance systems for improvement.
Personal Capability Building
Stay updated on internal policies and external regulations through online training and assessments.
Sales Opportunities Creation
Identify potential customers via information, referrals, and recommendations from existing clients.
Education
Matric / Grade 12 / SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential);
Regulatory exam 5 (Advantageous)
Experience
2-3 years telephonic sales experience (Essential);
Experience in Financial Services Industry (Advantageous).
