Job Description:

The Sales Trainer facilitates and delivers targeted, focused training to teach and strengthen client-specific knowledge and skills, including sales processes and systems.

The Sales Trainer collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to deliver responsive programs and content designed to support the needs of the business, promoting efficiency, and increasing productivity.

What you’ll be doing:

Understanding key business targets and requirements to achieve them

Driving improvements in key areas to improve performance

Acting as a consultant and providing helpful advice on coping with job-related challenges

Understanding performance information to identify focus areas

Providing positive praise and recognition for individual and team success to create a positive environment

Supporting the welfare of colleagues by taking note of challenges and concerns as well as escalating when necessary

Ensuring that product and service knowledge is timeously and efficiently transferred

Defining and realizing monthly coaching plan

Performing individual coaching actions (side-by-side coaching, debriefing of targeted contacts, role plays, simulations, etc.)

Using advisor feedback to assess efficiency of each coaching action and impact on KPIs

Supporting escalations during periods of offline time

Completing all coaching documentation

Ensuring that contact handling complies with legal and business requirements

Identifying individual and team training needs

Maintaining updated records of educational curriculum and material

Evaluate employees’ performance after each training

Ability to multi-task, manage and prioritize workload

Proven track record of achieving results

What you’ll need:

Matric

Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing or sales

Minimum 2 years’ experience coaching, mentoring or similar role

Attention to detail with high quality standards

Demonstrable leadership and management skills

Proactive and solution-driven

Familiarity with role-playing activities and e-learning platforms

Hands-on experience creating presentations (e.g. videos or slides)

Sales or marketing related qualification (Advantageous)

Clear credit, criminal and disciplinary records

Please note that the appointment will be made in line with the company’s EE Plan.
