Are you a number ninja with a passion for precision? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment? We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven Financial Accountant to join our client’s team in Pretoria.
Duties & Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
General Ledger Oversight: Own the general ledger for multiple entities, keeping our books balanced and accurate.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the full AP / AR function, ensuring clean reconciliations and timely reporting.
Costing Analysis: Perform in-depth costing and profitability analysis to guide smart business decisions.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver consolidated financial reports in line with accounting standards and regulations.
Month-End & Year-End Closures: Lead monthly and annual closing processes, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Xero Accounting: Use Xero (or similar) to manage financial data with accuracy and compliance.
Audit Preparation: Assist with audit schedules and collaborate with external auditors for a smooth process.
Process Improvement: Identify ways to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
SAIPA-qualified with completed articles
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (multi-company environment a plus)
Advanced understanding of accounting principles, costing, and reporting standards
Strong experience with Xero or similar accounting software
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
