    Duties & Responsibilities Compliance with OHSA

    • Stay updated with the provisions and requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant regulations and ensure the organization’s compliance with them.
    • Interpret and apply the OHSA guidelines to create and implement effective safety programs and practices.
    • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.

    Safety Policies and Procedures

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and protocols that align with OHSA standards.
    • Collaborate with management and employees to ensure adherence to safety protocols and provide guidance on safe work practices.
    • Regularly review and update safety policies and procedures to reflect changing regulations and best practices.

    Training and Education

    • Conduct safety training sessions for employees, covering topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe work practices.
    • Promote safety awareness by organizing safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and workshops.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors in implementing safety initiatives and fostering a safety‑conscious culture.

    Incident Investigation and Reporting

    • Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions to determine the root causes and recommend preventive measures.
    • Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain records of all safety‑related incidents, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
    • Track and analyse safety data to identify trends and develop strategies for reducing accidents and improving overall safety performance.

    Emergency Preparedness

    • Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and communication strategies.
    • Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency plans and identify areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with relevant authorities, such as fire departments and emergency services, to ensure coordinated responses during emergencies.

    Comply with and follow any reasonable and legal management instructions.

    Occupational Health and Safety Employees are responsible and accountable for:

    • Compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control.
    • Active participation in activities associated with the management of workplace health and safety.
    • Identification and reporting of health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries and property damage at the workplace.
    • Correct utilisation of appropriate personal protective equipment and compliance with the health rules and regulations by wearing the correct attire.

    Food Safety Management System

    • Comply with Quality and Food safety policies and procedures in the factory.
    • Report all Food safety and quality problems/ non‑conformances to Supervisors.
