Position: RSA Mechanic & Development Technician
Location: Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal
Salary: R10,000 per month + Live-Out Allowance
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Mechanic & Development Technician to join our dynamic team in Hillcrest, KZN. This is a dual-role position offering a unique opportunity to be part of both our in-house mechanical workshop and our national franchise development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a workshop technician, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of light petrol and diesel vehicles (BMW, Toyota, VW, Hyundai, Ford, etc.)
Participate in the setup, construction, and equipping of new franchise stores across South Africa
Perform general building, painting, and repair tasks related to store development
Ensure all mechanical work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry flat rates
Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues
Provide excellent customer service and collaborate effectively with team members
Requirements:
Valid South African driver’s license (non-negotiable)
Minimum of 3–4 years mechanical experience on light passenger vehicles
Previous experience in an aftermarket service environment such as BOSCH, e-Cars, Car Service City, CARtime, or Car Care Clinic (advantageous)
Proficient in using computer diagnostics
Capable of working independently with strong initiative and reliability
Knowledge and practical skills in building, painting, and general repair work
Strong customer service orientation and team collaboration
Sober habits, no criminal record, and traceable references
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:30
Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
