Job Summary
Join the Stephenson Pest Control team as a Route & Specialty Services Technician. No previous pest-control experience is required—we provide paid, hands-on training for the right candidate.
In this position, you will provide residential and commercial services, including general pest control, termite treatments, moisture-control work, wildlife services, exclusion work, inspections, and other specialty services.
You will manage an assigned route, communicate professionally with customers, and complete services safely and thoroughly. This position requires working outdoors, climbing ladders, working at heights, and entering crawlspaces, attics, and other confined areas.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, professional, willing to learn, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- No previous pest-control experience is required
- Paid training will be provided
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn
- Must be comfortable working at heights and using ladders
- Must be comfortable entering crawlspaces, attics, and confined areas
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment, crawling, bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Must have excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Must be organized and able to manage an assigned route
- Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
- Previous route-service, customer-service, construction, maintenance, or outdoor work experience is helpful but not required
- Must be willing to complete required training and obtain applicable licenses or certifications after hiring
Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial pest-control services according to company procedures and all applicable regulations.
- Assist with and perform termite treatments, inspections, monitoring, and prevention services.
- Complete moisture-control work, including work in crawlspaces and other confined areas.
- Perform wildlife removal, monitoring, exclusion work, and minor repairs as assigned.
- Safely climb and work from ladders and at elevated locations when completing wildlife, exclusion, and pest-related services.
- Inspect properties to identify pest activity, entry points, moisture concerns, termite evidence, and other conditions requiring attention.
- Manage an assigned daily route efficiently and arrive at appointments within the scheduled timeframes.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about services performed, findings, recommendations, and follow-up needs.
- Accurately document service details, materials used, findings, customer signatures, and recommendations.
- Safely operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle, tools, application equipment, ladders, and safety equipment.
- Follow all label directions, company safety procedures, and state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent Stephenson Pest Control positively.
- Participate in required training, licensing, certification, and continuing education.
- Assist other technicians and team members when needed.
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
