As our manager: Risk & Resilience, you’ll play a critical leadership role in strengthening how we anticipate, manage, and respond to risk—ensuring operational continuity, protecting value, and enabling confident strategic decision-making across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead enterprise risk & resilience
- Own and evolve Derivco’s enterprise risk management framework
- Drive risk assessments across all business units, identifying key risks and mitigation strategies
- Monitor emerging risks and provide insights to leadership and governance forums
Strengthen business continuity & recovery
- Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning
- Lead resilience testing, crisis simulations, and recovery readiness initiatives
- Ensure recovery capabilities align with operational and commercial priorities
Deliver strategic insight
- Provide risk reporting, dashboards, and analytics to the Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee
- Translate complex risk data into actionable business insights
- Advise executives and senior leaders on risk-aware decision-making
Enable and influence the organisation
- Embed a risk-conscious culture across teams
- Partner with stakeholders across technology, operations, legal, and compliance
- Lead and develop the Business Resilience Specialist and coordinate cross-functional teams
Experience & expertise
- 6–8 years’ experience in risk management, governance, or business resilience
- Proven track record in enterprise risk frameworks, business continuity, or GRC
- Experience working with GRC platforms, risk management tools and data-driven reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in risk, Business, Finance, Law, or related field
- Professional certifications: CRISC, Risk Management certifications, Business Continuity certifications

- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills (including C-suite)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate risk into business value
- Leadership capability with a hands-on, delivery-oriented approach.
This position is open to applicants willing to work in Durban or Pretoria, South Africa.
