1 X SCULPTOR & SURFACE DECORATOR

LOCATION: Rialheim Robertson – Western Cape

We are seeking skilled and passionate craftspeople to collaborate with designers, mould makers, casters, and glazers to ensure workflow efficiency and product cohesion. Meet weekly production targets and deadlines without compromising quality. Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools and equipment and assist in packing finished work and preparing pieces for glazing or final firing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sculpting & Surface Decoration

 Sculpt small elements or attachments such as figurines, handles, or textural embellishments directly on ceramic forms.

 Assist in creating master designs and prototypes for new product development.

 Repair or refine greenware/bisque before decoration, ensuring a smooth and paint-ready surface.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

 Experience in ceramic hand-painting, illustration, or fine arts (portfolio required).

 Ability to sculpt and work with clay at the greenware and bisque stages.

 Excellent attention to detail, patience, and steady hand control.

 Passion for artistic expression, colour theory, and design trends.

 Team player with good communication skills and a strong sense of accountability.

 Ability to take feedback constructively and strive for continuous improvement.

 Willingness to work within a production environment with deadlines and targets.
