Essential Requirements:
Are you currently (or very recently) a Retail Store Financial Manager or Retail Store Accountant WITHIN the Wholesale or Retail industry?
Do you have 3 to 5 years (or more) experience as a Retail Store Finance Manager, coming from the Wholesale or Retail industry?
Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree or 3 Year National Diploma in Accounting or Financial or a similar Degree?
Do you have advanced Excel skills?
Do you have advanced Pastel skills?
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Full admin function including processing of cash book, journals as required.
Management of administration staff.
Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to head office.
Staff rostering and maintenance of payroll records for submission to head office.
Ensure store compliance with set policy and procedures.
Review and reporting back monthly to the Executive committee on store performance.
Supplier relations and direct payments in consultation with head office.
Liaise with external auditors in conjunction with Group Finance.
Safeguarding of company assets specifically stock, assets and cash.
Checking process of GRV’s done including accuracy.
Creditor claims and control.
Service department counts and verification.
Service department wastage control – recording and archiving for later use.
Auditing of service department purchases, correct listing of products under correct departments.
Cashier Shorts and Overs weekly.
Daily report back on GRV’s not done and the reasons for not completing it.
Auditing and balancing of transactions.
Weekly cash office float balancing.
ATM balancing and loading by cash office personnel.
Weekly tracking of debtors.
Check and facilitate supplier payments.
Actively controlling critical supplier balances due vs. limits and store needs.
Salary: +- R40,000 to R50,000 CTC per month.
