Job Description: Retail Store Assistant
Location: Cape Town, South Africa Remote Working: Remote working not available
Responsibilities
Assist customers with their purchases and provide excellent customer service.
Manage inventory and restock shelves as needed.
Handle cash register operations, including processing transactions and balancing cash drawers.
Maintain store cleanliness and ensure displays are organized and visually appealing.
Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
Support the store manager in daily operational tasks.
Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
Promote sales and special offers to customers.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying items.
Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Team player with a proactive approach to tasks.
