Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Retail Buyer, based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The Retail Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing merchandise, analyzing market trends, managing inventory levels, and building relationships with vendors. Additionally, they will monitor product performance, ensure appropriate stock levels, and coordinate with the wider team to implement effective purchasing strategies in alignment with the company’s goals.
Qualifications
- Proficient Retail Buying and Purchasing skills with a clear understanding of market trends and consumer needs
- Strong Inventory Management expertise to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce wastage
- Exceptional Analytical Skills to make data-driven decisions and strategize effectively
- Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with vendors, colleagues, and internal teams
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
- Prior experience in retail or a related field preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is a plus
