Role Overview
The Retail & Sales Planning Specialist will be responsible for analysing dealer market trends, consumer preferences, and customer requirements regarding specifications and model requirements. This role plays a critical part in volume forecasting, ensuring optimal stock planning for both OEMs and dealerships, while maintaining a comprehensive reporting system on sales performance, competitor promotions, and market positioning. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering data-driven insights that empower the company to make strategic decisions, maximize growth, and maintain market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Consumer Insights: Gather, analyse, and interpret dealer market trends, consumer behaviours, and customer specifications to support strategic planning.
Volume Forecasting: Develop accurate volume projections for both OEM production planning and dealership stock management.
Stock Optimization: Ensure that inventory planning aligns with demand patterns to maintain optimal stock levels across the dealer network.
Competitor & Sales Reporting: Continuously monitor sales performance, analyse competitor promotions, and provide actionable intelligence.
Strategic Business Planning: Provide insights that shape pricing strategies, promotional efforts, and product planning.
Dealer Network Coordination: Collaborate with the dealer network to understand stock challenges, sales dynamics, and customer feedback.
Data Interpretation & Reporting: Maintain structured reporting systems, ensuring management has timely access to market insights and performance metrics.
Support Business Objectives: Leverage insights to enhance strategic decisions, ensuring the company remains competitive and aligned with market demands.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Marketing,
Experience in market analysis, forecasting, or retail business planning, ideally within the automotive sector.
Strong data analysis skills with expertise in sales forecasting and stock optimization.
Knowledge of automotive retail operations, dealer network dynamics, and competitor positioning.
Excellent reporting skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, CRM platforms, and data visualization tools.
Ability to collaborate across departments, ensuring alignment between sales, inventory management, and strategic planning.
Highly analytical mindset with a strong attention to detail and business insight
