Restuarant Attendant Jobs in Cape Town, South Africa at Crew Life at Sea
Key Responsibilities:
– Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables
– Present menus and provide recommendations based on guest preferences
– Take and process food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
– Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
– Ensure tables are cleared and reset for the next guests
– Assist with setting up and breaking down tables and dining areas
– Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment
– Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
– Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards
– Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environmentOn Board Cruise Ship
Qualifications:
– Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred
– Two year food and/or beverage service experience, preferably in a 4 or 5 star restaurant. Banquet experience preferred.
– Ability to distinguish soft drink varieties.
– Knowledge of basic buffet food items.
– Ability to apply customer service skills when interacting with guests and coworkers.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
– Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist others
– Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
– Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
– Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
– Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
