Our much loved Kleinsky’s brand, inspired by New York styled Delis is expanding to Johannesburg and requires an energetic hands-on GM to lead and manage all operations of this new restaurant.
Must haves:
South African ID
Worked in a fast paced high volume restaurant in a senior management position for at least 3 years and GM for at least 2 years
Totally gets the concept “10mins is too long”
Laser focus to both creating and maintaining systems to ensure a structured work environment
Leadership & Team Management – your experience supports that you are capable of leading, motivating and disciplining fairly and most of all being consistent
Solid operational understanding of day-to-day running of FoH and BoH to ensure the seamless management of departments
Customer Service Mindset – proactive with complaints, values guest experiences and most of all leads by example
Financial Performance – confident about setting budgets, maintaining costs (Labour & Supplies), running accurate cash -ups, and reporting on profitability and other key KPIs
Procurement & Stock Control – Strong track record of controlling purchases within set budgets, responsible for accurate stock counts and variance checking and effective waste reduction systems
Strategic Thinking – demonstrates long term thinking and understands the need for growth and potential risks to the business
Hiring, Training & Development – strong experience in hiring, mentoring and upskilling teams
Problem Solving – can clearly demonstrate clear examples of resolving major issues with creativity and calmness
Communication Skills – clear, confident and collaborative
