Our client, an established consulting firm, is looking for a Resident Engineer for their Pavement Engineering Division in Durban
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Act as the Resident Engineer on pavement projects:
oConstruction management
oEnsure site operates in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
oContract administration
oCorrespondence with contractor
oAlways remain alert to potential claims.
oMentor junior site staff
oNetworking
Requirements:
• Professional registration with ECSA
• 5 years post grad experience in Civil Engineering Environment/Construction Management role.
• Proficient in contract administration (GCC 2015 & FIDIC would be advantageous).
• Proficient in preparing programmes (monitoring, updating, and tracking progress).
• Understand how to prepare an estimate and cashflow forecast.
