Position Outline:
Kantey & Templer is in the process of reviewing candidates to fill a Position: Mechanical Engineer Section: Petrochemical based in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will supervise contractors on site on behalf of a client and will ensure adherence to the construction scope of work, which includes attending site meetings and site instructions. Usually full time on site. The Candidate holds a technical tertiary qualification (BSc/BEng).
Skills:
Application of construction specifications.
Measurement of quantities.
Inspection of construction works and quality control.
Site communications and management experience.
Construction monitoring.
Preparing and updating cost estimates, programmes and cash flow forecasts.
Overseeing of site laboratories.
Compile and submit Variation Orders to the Employer’s Agent.
Compiling Close-out reports.
Experience of SANRAL and/or Provincial Road Authorities construction projects.
Qualifications:
BEng and Pr Eng or BTech and Pr Tech Eng.
Computer Literacy:
Microsoft Package
Personality Profile:
Ability to communicate at all levels.
Commitment.
Key performance areas will be discussed once the candidate has been interviewed.
