We currently have vacancies for Registered Nurses in our General Wards (Cardiac, Medical, Surgical and Orthopaedic). We have vacancies available for both day and night positions.
Responsibilities
Practice patient care according to his/her Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities.
Responsible for assessing, planning, executing, and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs.
Ensure that all documentation is maintained accurately and timeously reflecting the nursing care plan, patient treatment and patient progress.
Providing accurate, appropriate, and adequate information to patients and family members during hospitalisation.
Render and promote cost-effective, safe, and quality patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies.
Practice the principles of infection prevention and all standard precautions by following the company’s IPC policies.
Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimize risk.
Maintain a healthy relationship with external stakeholders by reporting and escalating unresolved issues to the unit manager.
The team member will perform nursing duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), the Department of Health (DOH) and Office of Healthcare Standards compliance.
Education
Degree or diploma in general nursing science.
Current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a registered nurse.
Experience
A minimum of two years of work experience in a private hospital is essential.
