Intercare SSISA Rehabilitation Hospital (Pty) Ltd situated in Newlands, Cape Town seeks to recruit a Registered Nurse who will be responsible to provide quality nursing care to our patients.
The candidate should conduct duties with empathy, respect, and openness. The focus of the position is to perform all nursing duties in accordance with the scope of practice as prescribed by the South African Nursing Council, while adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
CRITICAL OUTPUTS
Perform clinical rounds with doctors.
Be responsible and accountable for the physical, social and emotional care of all patients allocated to you on any shift.
Conduct hourly patient rounds and ensure that doctor’s orders are carried out.
Keep the doctor informed of test results received, changes in patient conditions and adverse reactions to treatment.
Ensure that all patient needs are met by assessing needs, planning and implementing nursing care plans, and continuously evaluating the efficacy of care rendered.
Record all interactions and interventions with patients on the appropriate documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12
Diploma/Degree in nursing leading to qualification as Registered Nurse
Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a medical or surgical ward is essential
Computer proficiency (MS Office) essential
SANC Registration as a Registered Nurse
