About The Role
Are you a tactical, results-driven retail leader who thrives on turning business strategies into operational excellence? As the Regional Operations Manager, your primary mission will be to tactically lead and optimize the operational performance of all stores across your assigned region. You will be the driving force behind boosting sales, maximizing profitability, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and maintaining flawless brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Financial Performance: Drive and monitor regional sales activities to meet or exceed financial targets; analyze sales trends, manage budgets, control expenses, and implement corrective action plans to maximize regional profitability.
- Operational Excellence & Execution: Ensure seamless execution of head office instructions, operational standards, promotional campaigns, and marketing plans; conduct regular store visits to assess compliance and improve productivity.
- People & Talent Management: Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing store managers and teams; drive succession planning, instill a high-performance culture aligned with brand values, and ensure strict compliance with labor laws.
- Risk Management & Administration: Auditing administrative functions (cash-ups, stock management), proactively managing shrinkage, and collaborating with Risk Management to improve compliance with company policies and legislation.
- Merchandising & Customer Centricity: Maintain consistent brand visual merchandising standards; implement planograms and foster a deeply customer-centric in-store culture across all locations.
What We Are Looking For
- Education: A relevant business-related degree is advantageous.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of solid Retail and Management experience.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency in Google Suite and relevant SAP/SAS operating systems and management reporting tools.
- Environment Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Supply Chain, Retail, and Consumer Finance environments, alongside deep knowledge of Pepkor Lifestyle policies, operating models, and systems.
- Legal Acumen: Working knowledge of relevant legislation (OHASA, FAIS, CPA, NCA, POPIA, etc.).
