We are now seeking a Reception/Admin Assistant to join our team in

Plumstead, Cape Town

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Roles and Responsibilities

This role is diverse and goes beyond just reception work—we’re looking for someone who can multitask, take initiative, and keep our office running efficiently.

Be the friendly and professional face of Yabonga—managing calls, reporting any CCT requests, all emails, and visitors

Oversee gate access, cameras, and ensure the entrance is never blocked

Accept and process all donations, ensuring proper paperwork and record-keeping

Provide administrative support to the Operations and Finance Manager and Managing Director

Assist with any and all admin, reception, and ad-hoc office duties

Order and manage office supplies, stationery, and programme inventor

Support staff by scanning, copying, laminating, and binding documents

Keep the front garden and office entrance neat and welcoming

Help coordinate supplies and nutrition for camps

Ensure donations-in-kind are properly recorded, and send thank-you letters

Research funding opportunities and assist with networking and fundraising initiatives

Qualifications And Requirements

2-5 years of experience in a similar role

Fluent in IsiXhosa & English (written and spoken)

Strong admin, organisation, and multitasking skill

Microsoft Office proficient

Friendly, professional, and able to work under pressure

Punctual, reliable, and able to work both independently and in a team

Creative and able to research potential funding and opportunities

Some fundraising or networking experience is an advantage

Must live in or around the Southern Suburbs
