Aufgaben

Objective of the job:

To provide general legal and compliance support service to Mercedes-Benz South Africa Ltd (MBSA) and to various companies within the MBSA group of companies, with regard to competition law, insurance law, product liability, consumer law, corporate and commercial law, finance, credit regulations and general regulatory environment, in compliance with MBSA’s Integrity and Anti-Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E tasks and duties and to inform line manager about deviations.

Main Tasks:

Communication and feedback:

Facilitate and maintain open communication channels internally and externally. Facilitates customer satisfaction, all reports to relevant management and clients as per agreed process and in agreed format.

Legal advice and recommendations:

Provide accurate and appropriate legal advice, reviews, opinions and recommendations at all times, to reduce risk and prejudice towards the company and all relevant information provided. Facilitate prompt feedback.

Drafting:

Draft contracts for the company in accordance with instructions received from business that is accurate, risk mitigating and in line with legal framework and business content and terminology.

Projects:

Participation and/or managing of projects within the legal department.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

· Communication Skills

· Applicable Law

· Advanced Drafting Skills

· Litigation

Experience:

· At least 3-5 years post-qualification experience

· Experience in the automotive industry will be advantageous

Qualifikationen

· NQF L8 – Bachelor’s Degree /Honours’ Degree in Legal studies e.g.

B. Com (legal), LLB

· Admitted Attorney
