Quilting & Sewing Instructor Jobs in La Vista, NE at Fabric Bash
Fabric Bash is looking for an experienced quilter and sewist to join our Rapid City team.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching, helping customers, and sharing their knowledge of sewing and quilting. You will teach classes, demonstrate machines and techniques, answer project questions, and help customers feel more confident using their equipment.
What You’ll Do
- Teach quilting and sewing classes for different skill levels
- Demonstrate sewing machines, quilting machines, tools, and techniques
- Help customers with sewing, quilting, and project questions
- Explain machine features and help customers understand how to use them
- Troubleshoot common threading, tension, stitch, needle, and machine-use issues
- Prepare machines, samples, and supplies for classes and demonstrations
- Help create class ideas, samples, and educational projects
- Support customers with product and machine recommendations when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong sewing and quilting experience
- Comfortable using and explaining sewing machines
- Knowledge of common quilting techniques, tools, patterns, thread, needles, and notions
- Ability to explain techniques clearly and patiently
- Comfortable working with beginners and experienced quilters
- Friendly, dependable, organized, and willing to continue learning
Experience with longarm quilting, embroidery, sergers, computerized quilting, or teaching classes is a plus, but not required.
Previous formal teaching experience is not necessary. If you are the person other quilters come to when they have a question or need help figuring something out, we would like to hear from you.

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
