What You’ll Be Cooking Up:
Cost Estimation: Accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction and development projects, ensuring alignment with project scope for QSR outlets.
Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and control project budgets to ensure financial efficiency and adherence to allocated resources throughout the project.
Procurement: Manage the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, evaluating tenders, and negotiating contracts to secure the best value for goods and services.
Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential financial and operational risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery and cost.
Cost Analysis: Perform continuous cost analysis and value engineering to optimize expenditures while maintaining quality and performance standards.
Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and accurate project records, including bills of quantities, tender documents, contract variations, and financial reports.
Quality Control: Ensure all work meets established quality standards and specifications by collaborating with site teams and monitoring materials and standards.
Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors and vendors to communicate project progress, and budgets.
Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with local regulations, building codes, including health and safety standards.
Cost Tracking: Monitor and report on real-time project expenditures, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to maintain financial control.
What You Bring to the Table:
National Senior Certificate (NSC)
Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering
Professional Certificate as a Quantity Surveyor (e.g. RICS, CIQS)
Experience in QSR/ Retail development
Minimum of 4 years in Quantity Surveyor role in the construction industry
Knowledge on sustainable and green building practices
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and Negotiations skills
Ability to work independently and as part of s teams
